48 Hours in Düsseldorf – A Short Trip from Stage47 1

Your Short Trip to Düsseldorf at Stage47

Stage47 is a 4-star hotel located in the heart of Düsseldorf. It’s only an 8-minute walk from Düsseldorf Central Station, making it the perfect base for your short trip due to its central location. The city on the Rhine offers a wide variety of attractions. Below, we would like to present you with a first-class 48-hour plan for your next city break in the state capital, starting from our hotel.

Day 1 Arrival

Your short holiday in Düsseldorf begins with your arrival. Whether you come by train and get off at the Central Station for a relaxed 8-minute walk to the hotel or you arrive by car and park in the garage opposite our hotel, we have you covered. Check-in is available from 3 pm. If you arrive earlier, make sure to take the opportunity to visit the nearby cafés. Café donecake, for instance, offers a range of sweet treats like donuts, waffles, and cakes, as well as savory options such as scrambled eggs, fries, and burgers, all just a 1-2 minute walk from us.

Afternoon

After check-in, you can head straight to Königsallee for some shopping. Locally known as “KÖ,” Königsallee is home to a variety of boutiques and food spots, with a scenic canal running through it. The best part is that you won’t have to carry your shopping bags too far, as Königsallee is only 700 meters from Stage47—perfect for dropping off your purchases in your room before continuing your day.

Evening

For a romantic sunset by the Rhine, it’s just a 20-minute walk from the hotel to the Rhine promenade. A boat tour offers an unforgettable way to enjoy the golden-lit Düsseldorf skyline from the water.

Afterwards, you can stroll along the Rhine towards the Old Town and stop by one of the many bars and pubs. At HeimWerk in the Old Town, you can end the evening perfectly with a beer and a German specialty of your choice.

Düsseldorf’s Old Town is famous as “the longest bar in the world,” with around 260 pubs, restaurants, and bars. In the traditional breweries, you can try the popular Altbier. To learn more about the Old Town, you can even book a 90-minute night watchman tour.

Day 2 Morning

Start your day energized with our hearty breakfast. We offer a varied breakfast buffet with rolls, muesli, and much more. For a quick snack on the go, you can stop by the Busch bakery, which offers a wide selection of pastries and hot drinks, perfect for takeout or to enjoy on the spot.

Daytime

A short trip to Düsseldorf is not complete without visiting the Japanese quarter, “Little Tokyo.” Nowhere else in Europe is Japanese life represented as well as it is here. Located just 12 minutes from our hotel, Little Tokyo is filled with restaurants, izakayas (Japanese pubs), supermarkets, and more. For lunch, why not try some delicious ramen at Takumi Ramen Restaurant? And don’t forget to bring back something special from one of the Japanese supermarkets—perhaps some ramen imported directly from Japan for you and your loved ones?

Evening

On your way back from Little Tokyo, you’ll pass by “ALCHEMIST Bistro & Bar,” which is conveniently located near our hotel. This spot offers pasta, various meat dishes, aperitifs, wines, liqueurs, and more. It’s the perfect place to reflect on the beautiful and unforgettable moments of your short trip.

Day 3 Departure

After so many impressions, your short holiday is coming to an end. You have until 12 pm to check out, giving you plenty of time to enjoy breakfast and pack your things. If your bags are a bit heavier after your shopping tour at KÖ and Little Tokyo, don’t worry—Düsseldorf Central Station is just an 8-minute walk away.
