(born on July 12th 1957) Götz Alsmann is a German musician, presenter and entertainment artist. In 1972, Alsmann founded his first tape called “Heupferd Jug Band” which he took up three records. Since 1985, Alsmann acts as a presenter on the radio. Since 1996, he hosts the WDR show “Zimmer frei!” with Christine Westermann, for which he was awarded together with Christine Westermann and Jörg Thadeusz in 2000 with the Adolf fury price. On the 3rd of June 2012, Alsmann received for the second time the ECHO for the category “Jazz – singer of the year national” for the chanson album in Paris.
