(born on January 25th 1937) Werner Schneyder is an Austrian cabaret artist, author, actor, director and sports commentator.
After studying journalism and art history in Vienna, he worked as a journalist and copywriter. Then he had engagements as a dramaturge at the regional theatres in Salzburg and Linz. Since 1965, Schneyder has been a freelance author and director. From 1974 to 1981 he collaborated with Dieter Hildebrand as a political cabaret artist and appeared on a regular TV series with him. Since 1982 he also appeared as a solo cabaret artist and also with own chansons.
At times, Werner Schneyder worked for the channel ZDF as a moderator. He moderated several boxing matches for television as well.
