Klaus Hoffmann 2

(born on March 26th 1951) Klaus Hoffmann is a German singer, actor, author and songwriter. He was born in Berlin Charlottenburg as an only child. His father died very early in 1961. After training as a merchandiser, he undertook in 1969 a trip to Afghanistan, which brought him several times in life-threatening situations. In 2000, his first novel “Afghanistan” appeared.

His first album “Klaus Hoffmann” was released in 1975. The songs, written by himself on the album “What am I to do in this town?” are mainly about his hometown Berlin. In 1978, Hoffmann got the German Cabaret Award in the Chan­son division for his songs. 1979, his first major tour followed. Hoffmann has recorded more than 30 albums.
